This is where I show off the things I build. A Bitcoin full node, a solo mining pool, an encrypted messaging daemon for node operators, a Minecraft world for friends — passion projects I run on my own hardware to sharpen real skills. Nothing here is a tutorial exercise. It all has to actually stay up.
A solo CKPool stratum endpoint running against my own node, reachable over clearnet or as a Tor hidden service. Live stats, leaderboards, and block odds are generated straight from the pool logs. It has taken rented hashrate at roughly 1 PH/s.
Encrypted messaging between Bitcoin nodes. It borrows the P2P network for peer discovery, then opens its own authenticated channel between daemons — two operators can talk with no server in the middle to trust.
A validating node with the full chain on external storage. Everything else here settles back to it — the pool builds templates from it, NodeSignal discovers peers through it. Running it myself means verifying rather than trusting.
A persistent Minecraft survival world for friends, on the same machine and the same uptime as everything else. Considerably more creepers.
A self-hosted block and fee explorer reading from my own node instead of somebody else's API. Next thing on the rack.
I'm Connor Aherne. I build and run self-hosted infrastructure because it is the fastest way I have found to actually learn how things work — you cannot hand-wave past a service that has to stay online.
